BIKES and DOGS
Dogs and Bikes
The Cairngorm National Park is the centre of outdoor activity in Scotland.
The Strathspey Railway’s trains travel through the park and provide outdoor enthusiasts with the perfect way of exploring the surrounding countryside.
Travel out to Boat of Garten or Broomhill stations by train then walk or cycle back using the Speyside Way to Aviemore. Or by exploring the outdoors first and relax on the train as you return to the station nearest your accommodation.
However, space is limited for both on each train, therefore, when booking you should advise if you are travelling with your dog(s) or bike(s).
There is now a dedicated seating section area on our trains for dogs and their owners. We politely ask our customers to please keep dogs on the floor at all times and do not allow them on the seats in our carriages.
Bikes are carried in the guard’s van – though space is limited so booking ahead is advisable.
PLEASE NOTE:
Dogs are not permitted in either the dining areas or First Class compartments on our trains unless they are assistance dogs.
£1 per dog and/or bike is payable on the day of travel when you pick up your travel tickets prior to boarding
